Basin Adjudication

The Basin’s comprehensive groundwater adjudication lawsuit is a legal process aimed at determining water rights within our basin, and also imposing a “physical solution,” or plan, to ensure those water rights can be used in a manner that promotes long-term health and sustainability. This lawsuit is beneficial for the community as it seeks to ensure fair and sustainable water management, and allowing all persons to have their day in court. By resolving disputes and clarifying water rights, the Basin adjudication helps protect our local water resources and promotes long-term water security for all community members and businesses.
